INSTALLATION OF DR. TRETTER AG TOLERANCE SLEEVES

1. FREE INSTALLATION

The free installation of the tolerance sleeve is the most cost-effective option, as it only requires smooth shafts to be connected with smooth, continuous bores. No or only simple machining of the connecting parts is necessary; however, an assembly aid is required to axially fix the tolerance sleeve during pressing. With free installation of the tolerance sleeve, the transmittable torque is reduced by up to 20%; a center offset of up to 10% of the shaft height of the tolerance ring can occur.

2. CENTERED INSTALLATION

This assembly of the tolerance sleeve is used when precise centering is required or radial impacts occur that exceed the permissible radial load according to the information in our catalog. A higher concentricity can be achieved through a corresponding fit of the shaft and bore. At the same time, deflection and thus damage to the tolerance sleeves due to overload is excluded. An assembly aid tool is not required here, as the tolerance sleeve is held axially by the recess. In addition, this prevents the tolerance sleeve from wandering.

3. SUPPORTED INSTALLATION

The supported installation of the tolerance sleeve is used when a certain centering is to be achieved cost-effectively and wandering is to be avoided in the event of unfavorable radial load. At the same time, the assembly of the tolerance sleeve is simplified. An assembly aid is also not required.

4. MULTIPLE ARRANGEMENT

If the permissible load of a tolerance sleeve is not sufficient, two or more sleeves can also be installed next to each other. However, the tolerance sleeves must be separated by webs to prevent the tolerance sleeves from overlapping during the pressing process.
