Aluminum rail guides

Thanks to their compact, lightweight construction, aluminum rail guides enable a weight saving of 60%. In the ALULIN® rail guides from Dr. Tretter AG, rust-resistant steel profiles (Niro) are pressed into the rail guides and aluminum carriages using a patented process.

Rust-resistant and inexpensive ALULIN® rail guides are ideally suited for applications with lower loads and guiding accuracy, where price and weight savings are paramount. Their high tolerance to unevenness of the mounting surface reduces assembly costs. ALULIN® rail guides are also the optimal choice when requirements for insensitivity to dirt and long service life are important.

ADVANTAGES

WHY ALUMINUM RAIL GUIDES?

  • Compact, lightweight construction ensures weight savings of up to 60% compared to steel designs
  • Higher rust resistance compared to a profile rail made of steel
  • Less expensive to purchase than commercially available profile rail guides made of Niro
  • Significantly greater parallelism and height deviations permitted; can sometimes even be mounted on unmachined mounting surfaces
  • Long-term lubrication through initial lubrication on the production side
  • Insensitivity to dirt and high tilting moment load capacity due to two rows of balls with large balls
  • Mounting stop edges are present on both sides of the guide rails
  • Optionally, various magnetic length measuring systems for positioning tasks can be supplied for the series 25. The repeat accuracy of the length measuring system is between +- 2 µm and +- 100 µm, depending on the resolutions.
